Triangular Fight For “Darsi” Ticket In YSRCP

YSRCP MediaIn the upcoming elections for the Darsi constituency, there is intense competition among three leaders vying for the YSRCP ticket. Unfortunately, there seems to be a lack of harmony among these three contenders, particularly between MLA Maddishetti Venugopal and former MLA Buchepalli Sivaprasad Reddy.

Additionally, former minister Sidda Raghavrao is making a strong effort to secure the ticket, and there are also significant differences between him and Buchepalli. A recent survey conducted by the IPAC team reportedly suggested the possibility of considering someone else for the ticket in place of the incumbent MLA.

It’s known that some senior leaders from the MLA Maddisetty Kapu community are attempting to exert pressure on YS Jagan in favor of their preferred candidate. IPAC representatives conducted a survey to gauge the popularity of the three contenders within the YSRCP ranks—Venugopal, Sidda, and Buchepalli.

According to reports, Venugopal received the lowest ranking among the three in the survey. Subsequently, both Buchepalli and Sidda have become more aggressive in their efforts to secure the YSRCP ticket. It’s worth noting that Buchepalli, who had initially expressed a lack of interest in the YSRCP ticket during the last assembly elections, fully supported Maddishetty at that time.

The final decision on the ticket is expected to be made by YS Jagan based on the results of the IPAC survey. However, regardless of who receives the ticket, it doesn’t appear that they will be inclined to cooperate with each other, given the existing tensions and competition among the contenders.
