TRS to Wipeout Opposition from Council?

TRS-to-Wipeout-Opposition-from-CouncilMLC elections in Telangana will happen in March. TRS has already complained to Chairman about four MLCs who jumped to Congress before the elections and they are likely to be disqualified. The elections will happen to 16 seats and TRS is keen on bagging all of them without giving chance to the Opposition.

Out of the 16, One is in Governor Quota, Seven are under MLAs Quota, Five are from Local Bodies, One Graduate, and Two Teachers Constituencies. In the 40 seats council of Telangana, TRS has 31 seats, Congress has Seven, BJP and MIM have one each by the time the Assembly is dissolved.

TRS has promised MLC seats to many candidates who could not get MLA Tickets. Along with them, there are several aspirants as they feel winning is easy since TRS is on a roll with the recent Assembly Elections Victory. CM KCR will concentrate on this once the Cabinet is finalized. TRS is keen on wiping out the Opposition from the Council.
