BARC has released the Telugu news channel ratings for Week 40.
TV9 and NTV continue to lead in the 15+ age group category across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. TV5 News and ABN follow closely in the next two positions.
V6 stands at the sixth spot, while Sakshi ranks seventh. Interestingly, ETV Andhra Pradesh sits at number 12 and ETV Telangana at number 14, even below T-News.
ETV channels are known for accuracy and balanced reporting rather than chasing TRPs. However, the current ratings show a steep drop, even behind newer competitors. The management may not aim for sensationalism, but these numbers call for a serious strategy review.
In Hyderabad’s 15+ age group, TV9 and ABN take the top spots. TV5, V6, Sakshi, and NTV follow in third, fourth, fifth, and sixth positions.
