Comedian Venu Madhav will be filing his nomination from Kodad Constituency as an Independent. Venu Madhav is a native of Kodad. He studied there and also started as a Mimicry Artist there. Later on, he got associated with TDP and used to campaign for the party whenever needed.

He acted in 100s of films as a comedian and is away from the film industry in recent times due to health issues. He is associated with TDP till recently but then, Kodad has gone to Congress as a part of the alliance and so a disappointed Venu Madhav has decided to try his luck as an Independent.
He is hoping to win the elections since his family has Political Background in Kodad. His friends in the constituency also have Political connections. It has to be seen if TDP will be able to convince him to back off from the contest. Another candidate from TDP, Mallaiah Yadav who worked for the party in the constituency is also disappointed and may contest as Rebel. TRS and BJP are also after him to contest on their ticket.
