Now, Vijaysai Reddy Has A Take On National Song

Vijaysai Reddy speaking publicly

The Central government has passed a ruling making it compulsory for Indian citizens to sing all the six stanzas of India’s national song Vande Mataram. Ex YSRCP leader and ex MP Vijaysai Reddy took to X to post his opinion on the matter.

Amidst wild rumours that he will be joining the BJP in summer, his tweet has intrigued many in political circles. Here’s what he had to say – Even though the foreign rulers left, their religions are still among us. He went on to say that they are trying to rule us.

Vijaysai Reddy wondered if we as Indian citizens and followers of a particular faith don’t have hearts. Are we still slaves, he questioned.

For 120 years, we sang only some part of our national song to appease them. Shouldn’t our national song have names of our “ammavarlu”, said Vijaysai Reddy. Putting a stop to this plight, the Center has made it mandatory for all to sing complete Vande Mataram. We must welcome it, said the ex MP.
