It looks like anti-incumbency is brewing on all YSR Congress leaders from top to the bottom. The latest in the list is Minister Gummaluru Jayaram. A video of a YSR Congress activist criticizing the Minister is doing rounds on social media and has become viral.
The YSR Congress Activist Sunkanna says that Jayaram has done nothing for his village and regrets voting him in the 2019 elections. “Only Jayaram’s family got benefitted with him becoming MLA and the Minister,” Sunkanna is saying in the video.
There were reports that a recent survey of Prashant Kishor says that there should be a complete rejig of party candidates in almost all the districts of Andhra Pradesh as a majority of them are facing severe anti-incumbency. Even the party cadre is not entirely happy with the leader.
There are reports that MLAs have become dummies in their constituency with no funds whatsoever. As a result, there are no development activities in the constituencies making them face backlash from the people and the party cadre.
