Union Home Ministry had decided to allow Visa on Arrival in Vishakapatnam Airport from Saturday. Foreigners who are coming to Vishakapatnam need not take visa in advance and can take the visa through this program after their arrival in the city.

Foreigners from 147 countries can avail this facility from today and it will be a big boost for the tourism development in Andhra Pradesh particularly in Vishakapatnam. The facility will also be extended to Gannavaram Airport as well when international operations begin.
The e-visa facility is available at 16 airports in the country – —Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Gaya, Goa, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram, Tiruchi, and Varanasi. The state government will have to publicize the facility extensively to make use of it.
