The Union Government tabled the Waqf Board Amendment Bill in the Parliament, and it will be discussed for eight long hours. Then, it will be voted on.
While the central government is determined to get this bill passed, all the opposition parties are opposing it.

The center has brought this new bill to make women’s participation in governance mandatory by increasing transparency and accountability in the Waqf governing bodies. To this end, about 40 amendments will be made in the Waqf Act of 1995.
Government sources said that these changes are being made based on the demands coming from the Muslim community, while the Opposition says this is aimed at using Waqf Properties for other uses and will jeopardise the welfare of the Muslims.

TDP issued a three-line whip asking all its members to attend the house and support the government.
This is a huge risk considering the fact that TDP has the Minority Voters’ support and they may turn against the Party.

BJP, anyway does not have anything to lose, and Janasena is also the same.
The biggest threat is the YSR Congress voting against the bill.
If the party votes against the bill, it will use the issue to push Muslims against the TDP.
TDP should force the BJP to ensure YSR Congress votes for the Bill at any cost.
TDP should also shred this unnecessary pretense.
If we remember, the BJP did not like to pose pictures with the Alliance Manifesto before the alliance.
If the BJP has distinct opinions about some issues, TDP should also have them, especially in issues like this,s which will alter the Vote Banks.
Meanwhile, there are reports that TDP forced the Joint Parliamentary Committee to make a few changes to the Bill that are Pro-Muslim.
But then, these are nitty-gritty details. These things do not go into the Public as much as the party would like.
The broader opinion will be that TDP has supported a bill that Muslims are worried about. We will get to know in a few hours how the issue will be handled.
