BARC released the Week 45 Ratings for Telugu News Channels in the AP and TS Age 15+ category. TV9 and NTV secured the top two positions once again, continuing the trend seen for many months in this segment.
TV5 placed third and ABN ranked fourth. TV5 and ABN are seen as Pro-TDP channels, while TV9 and NTV are fence-sitters. V6 News and 10 TV followed next in the overall lineup for the week.
YSR Congress mouthpiece Sakshi stood in seventh place. The gap between channels remained noticeable, showing clear viewer preferences across the Telugu states. The overall list also showed stable patterns with minor shifts.
In the Hyderabad 15+ category, TV9 and ABN took the top two spots. TV5 and V6 followed in the next positions, while Sakshi ranked fifth. The order reflected Hyderabad’s unique viewing behaviour compared to the combined AP and TS ratings.
NTV landed in the sixth spot in Hyderabad. This remains a curious case, as NTV consistently ranks in the Top 2 for AP and TS combined but performs sharply lower in Hyderabad. The difference continues to puzzle viewers and analysts.
Sakshi, which ranked fifth in Hyderabad, secured 73 Ratings, while NTV at sixth received only 34.9. The contrast highlighted the unusual gap in city-based viewership. The complete list of channel ratings is shown below.
