Recently, producers Allu Aravind and Dil Raju expressed similar concerns regarding the opening of cinemas. They said it would take time, and everything will depend on the control of the pandemic. The one significant difference is that while Dil Raju expects people to flock cinemas after its opened, Allu Aravind is sceptical. The former feels our audience take cinemas as the biggest form of entertainment.

As far as the OTT platforms are concerned, Allu Aravind and Dil Raju believes that it would depend on the extension of the lockdown. The longer it gets, the higher the chances of OTT release. It is even though the directors might be against the idea. The increasing interest rate of production is to be blamed here.

Only the producers, who can hold the production by paying the finances, will be able to resist digital release. If that is not the case, eventually there will be a breaking point that will force them to take the decision, asserts Allu Aravind.

The bottom line here is the longer it takes for normalcy to return, the higher the chances for opting digital release. The stars also won’t have a say if things extend to a longer period.
