TRS MPs have got Parliament to a standstill demanding the immediate division of the Hyderabad High Court. The issue is a curious case as all the parties involved – Telangana, AP, and the Center say they are in for the division but it did not happen for more than three years until now.

Center had brushed its hands off the issue saying that AP is in the process of looking for Temporary Accommodation to facilitate the high court division. But then, it is not as simple as it appears to be, according to the legal experts.
They say that High Court division cannot happen before the division of all the assets and liabilities as any legal issues raising during the division will fall in the purview of Telangana High Court as most assets are in Hyderabad.
It is not feasible to approach Supreme Court always. Andhra Pradesh will not naturally want that to happen. So, that state wants High Court division to happen at the last after the assets bifurcation is complete. So, high court division is not feasible at least now.
