YCP Social Media: “Don’t Drag My Parents”

Youtuber Mouli

The YCP leaders and their supporters often target people who speak out against them. Recently, they’ve turned their attention to Mouli, a YouTuber and a rising actor, known for his work on the popular OTT series, 90’s – A Middle Class Biopic.

Mouli made a sarcastic comment about the capital of Andhra Pradesh at a private event, which went viral. YCP supporters on social media attacked him for his remark, ignoring the fact that comedians often make such satirical comments as part of their acts.

These attacks escalated into vicious abuse directed not only at Mouli but also at his family, including his parents.

A harassed Mouli responded on social media by clarifying that his joke was not meant to be political or disrespectful. He apologized to anyone who was offended and emphasized that his only goal was to spread laughter through his comedy. He urged YCP supporters not to abuse and drag his parents into the controversy.

The incident once again highlights the intolerance of criticism within the YSRCP ranks and the toxic behavior of some of its followers online.
