Speaking with the migrant workers in Telangana, BRS firebrand Harish Rao said “What’s there in Andhra Pradesh? There are no good roads nor is there any good infrastructure. In Hyderabad, you’ll get all this in top quality. Why don’t you all shift to Telangana?”.
This drew an uproar from YSRCP leaders and they came down on Harish.
YCP’s Karmuri Nageswara Rao stated “What’s the deal with Hyderabad roads. There are floods in Hyderabad roads every time there’s rain. Moreover, can you implement welfare schemes like the way AP government is doing?”.
This counter from YCP is in turn drawing a whole lot of backlash. The primary argument is that what Telangana has with regard to water clogging in roads is more of an urban flooding. This is due to the saturation of the urban infrastructure and consequent lack of pathways for rainwater precipitation.
But what’s happening in Andhra Pradesh is complete lack of development and new infrastructure. This is in contrast of Telangana situation where there’s the degree of development of infrastructure which is leading to urban flooding. In AP, there’s no good infrastructure and on top of that the roads are of scrappy quality.
YCP’s counter argument on Harish Rao’s statements makes zero sense and there’s no substance whatsoever in the same.
