Andhra Pradesh Assembly sat for a three days session starting today. The session started with two adjournments following YSR Congress MLAs protest in the house. Finally, the house unanimously ratified the GST Bill amid the din. The government in the morning announced that the leader of the house will make an announcement on the special status issue once the GST bill is passed.

But even then YSR Congress continued its protests. The ruckus continued even as the Chief Minister rose to give a statement about the Special Package offered by the center. Some of the YSR Congress MLAs even stormed the Speaker’s chair and some of them even threw papers on to the Chair.
Finally, Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao adjourned the house tomorrow without the leader of the house making any statement. On the other side, YSR Congress MLAs came to the house wearing black shirts as a mark of protest. Jagan called for a State-wide Bandh this Saturday for denying Special Status to AP.
