YSR Congress Rajya Sabha MP Pilli Subash Chandrabose is at loggerheads with Minister Chelluboina Venu and MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy. The rivalry turned worse after the party confirmed Ramachandrapuram ticket to Venu denying it for Pilli’s son.
Pilli feels that he is intentionally sidelined in the party and there is no respect for his services since YSR. Buzz in the constituency is that Pilli is not even getting Jagan’s appointment these days.
There are rumors that he will be joining TDP in days to come. Pilli previously has the experience of contesting and winning as an independent but politics these days are costly. So that option is not easy.
If he joins TDP, along with his traditional BC vote bank, the Kamma voters due to TDP and Kapu voters due to Janasena will also consolidate making his victory easy.
But then, this decision is not easy because Pilli has four years of Rajya Sabha left and he has to sacrifice that. There is also an option of him continuing as an MP while sending his son to TDP.
TDP has no proper candidate in Ramachandrapuram, Bose’s joining if true will be definitely handy.
