Lifts are the easiest way to travel through a building. But if some malfunction occurs, life stops right then and there.

Similar kind of incident occurred in Thiruvananthapuram.

A 59-year-old man named Ravindran Nair was stuck in a lift at the Government Medical College Hospital in the Kerala capital for two days.

And the shocking part is the authorities were oblivious of this situation. For this, initiate disciplinary action was taken against them for their alleged lack of responsibility.

He had been stuck inside the lift of the OP Block of the government medical college here since Saturday and was rescued by an operator who had arrived for routine work.

He came to the hospital for his check up and left with more problems.

He has been admitted to the hospital for a detailed medical examination.

The hospital took needful actions against this incident; they suspended three staff members ,two lift operators and a duty sergeant in connection with the incident.

The concerned family filed a missing case on Sunday night.

Meanwhile Nair kept pressing the alarm, but no one came to the rescue. This shows how much they lack responsibility.

As his phone was not reachable as he was stuck in a lift.

However, the medical college officials fixed the lift, and it is now a regularly used one.
