Eyewitnesses said the man carried some papers, spoke briefly to the CM, and then slapped and pushed her. He allegedly pulled her hair before security personnel intervened and overpowered him.

According to sources, Rajesh is a dog lover and was reportedly upset with the Supreme Court’s ruling to round up stray dogs in Delhi-NCR and move them to shelters.

Police have detained him, and questioning is underway to determine the motive. His mother, Bhanu, confirmed his deep concern for stray dogs but denied any political links.

Senior BJP leader Harish condemned the incident and said investigations will reveal if there was a political conspiracy behind the attack.

The BJP has demanded a thorough probe. Officials stressed that while many citizens may be unhappy with the government’s decision on stray dogs, violence is not the answer. Peaceful appeals and protests are the right way forward.
