Karthi, renowned for his diverse roles, began his career with Ameer’s ‘Paruthiveeran’ in 2007. During the pre-release event of his latest film, Japan, all the directors with whom he worked were present except Ameer.

Ameer later revealed he wasn’t invited, highlighting strained relations with Karthi and Suriya, blaming producer KE Gnanavel Raja for the discord.

Producer Gnanavel Raja countered, claiming Ameer declined the invitation. He also accused Ameer of overspending during ‘Paruthiveeran,’ leading to a financial dispute.

Actor-director Sasikumar and Samuthirakani defended Ameer, stating he financially supported the film’s completion. A legal battle ensued, with Ameer filing a case against Gnanavel Raja, Suriya, and Karthi.

Producer Gnanavel Raja, in an interview with a YouTube channel, shed light on Ameer’s film ‘Ram.’ According to Gnanavel Raja, upon watching the film, director Sudha Kongara remarked that nothing works in the film. Her credibility came under scrutiny when Gnanavel Raja accused her of criticizing Ameer’s ‘Ram’ as subpar.

Sudha Kongara later took to Twitter and swiftly clarified her stance, emphasizing that she harbors no ill will towards Ameer. She reiterated her admiration for Muthazhagu and highlighted the homage she paid to the legendary Tamil filmmaker Ameer through her work.

Tamil cinema fans began trolling Kongara that she is no saint, sharing a video where she allegedly admitted to borrowing the story of her film ‘Guru’ from a female boxer named Tulsi without compensating her.
