The woman, aged 35, worked at a private firm. She had been living separately with her 13-year-old daughter after filing for divorce. She had reportedly demanded financial support and a share of farmland.
On the day of the incident, the couple had a heated argument in public. In a sudden act of rage, the husband pulled out a gun and shot her twice. Local people rushed her to the hospital, but doctors declared her dead on arrival.
