A shocking incident in Hardoi has left people shaken after 25-year-old Rita lost her life during a bus journey. She was travelling with her mother when she suddenly collapsed and died in her mother’s lap, leaving fellow passengers in shock.
Reports suggest that Rita had received a distressing phone call moments before. A woman on the line introduced herself by saying, “Hello, I am your co-wife.” This revelation, combined with her troubled marriage, is believed to have triggered her untimely death.
Family members said Rita had long been facing disputes with her husband Shailendra. The troubled relationship had caused her severe stress. The sudden call from her husband’s alleged second wife is said to have dealt a final emotional blow.
Eyewitnesses recalled that Rita clutched her chest and gasped before collapsing. Despite the efforts of passengers, she could not be revived. Authorities later confirmed her death, adding that the shock and stress may have played a major role.
The tragic incident has raised concern over the toll of family disputes on mental health, particularly for young women. Locals expressed grief, noting how sudden trauma can destroy lives instantly and pointing out the lack of support systems for such cases.
Police have started an investigation into the phone call and the marital conflict. Rita’s sudden passing has left her family and community devastated, serving as a stark reminder of the damage caused by infidelity, disputes, and lack of counselling support.
