India Wraps 100+ MedalsThis year’s Asian Games in Hangzhou have been a prestigious journey for India and its athletes. Lately, India is establishing itself as one of the most notable nations in terms of sports, and this year indeed was a great example of India’s future endeavours.

This year, the campaign was indeed to cross 100 medals, and it was a ginormous success. In the last installment in Jakarta, the nation managed to collect 70 podium standings, their highest ever. But this year, with more expectations, they excelled and performed.

During the second last day of the games, on the 7th, India managed to wrap up their medal tally with 107 medals, a staggering number in history.

And in that 107, 28 of them are gold, 38 are silver, and 41 of them are bronze. Not only setting up the bar for the record number of total medals, India also managed to win a record number of gold, silver, and bronze medals.

Among the winners, there are some big stars and some skyrocketed to be the next big thing. Both India’s men’s and women’s cricket teams managed to clinch the gold.

In terms of archery, India performed like Arjuna as they indeed hit the Bullseye. Nine total medals, and five of them are gold. In hockey, India is again getting back to their old glory as they managed to grab the gold. The female hockey team managed to fight for bronze.

In Kabaddi, India’s men and women, both won gold. In Rowing and Shooting, India grabbed a number of medals as well, including one gold. In chess, both teams reached the second spot and won silvers.

Overall, the journey was fun, as India managed to make a global statement and will now be preparing for the Olympics next year, where they can build on this success with such a strong base.
