The techie, who is a software developer with almost a decade-long experience in the US recently shared his experience of not being able to get a job in India despite trying multiple times.

According to him, while his secure academic job in the US has made him an expert in the fields of languages like Python, Django, JavaScript, etc., it has also hindered his skill development.

This has led to him not being able to learn cloud computing, considered to be a basic necessity for Indian developers.

He said, “Most devs in India already have this skill set (I am assuming). I have realized that not knowing key technologies that a senior developer like me should already know puts me at a significant disadvantage.”

His story caught the attention of many social media users, who began expressing their opinions online.

One user said, “The market is tough right now. You must grind, upskill continuously, improve your resume, and keep applying.”

Another commented, “I believe there have been fewer layoffs compared to the beginning of 2023, but it’s still difficult to secure a job through traditional applications.”
