Age Fraud Love: 52-Yr Aunty, Young Boy, Deadly End

Mainpuri online love turns violent

A shocking incident from Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh, shows how online relationships can spiral into violence. A 26-year-old man strangled his 52-year-old lover after learning her real age and facing pressure for money and marriage.

The victim, Rani, was from Jithouli village in Farrukhabad. She reportedly used Instagram filters to appear much younger. Around one and a half years ago, she met Arun Rajput online. Believing she was far younger, Arun became emotionally involved.

Over time, Rani allegedly gave him ₹1.5 lakh. Later, she began demanding that he return the money and also insisted on marriage. According to police, Arun felt trapped by her demands.

On 11th August, Rani travelled to Mainpuri to meet him. They argued near the Rajbaha bushes. When she again brought up marriage, Arun reportedly lost control. In a fit of rage, he strangled her with her own dupatta and fled the scene.

Her body was soon discovered, and police began investigating. Using call records and mobile data, they tracked and arrested Arun. He later confessed to the murder. Police also recovered two of Rani’s phones from his possession. He has now been sent to judicial custody.

Investigators say the relationship began through deception, with Rani concealing her real age. But her financial and emotional demands led to conflict, which tragically ended in murder.

The case highlights the growing risks of online relationships. Authorities advise people to stay cautious, avoid false representations, and verify facts before forming deep digital bonds.
