Mysuru lodge murder crime scene

Mysuru was shaken on Monday, August 25, after a horrific murder in Bherya village. A 20-year-old woman, Rakshita from Gerasanahalli in Hunsur Taluk, was brutally killed by her companion Siddaraju, with whom she was allegedly having an extramarital affair.

Rakshita, who was married to a daily wage worker from Kerala, had checked into a lodge with Siddaraju. According to police, the two got into an argument during their stay. In a gruesome act, Siddaraju allegedly forced a chemical explosive into Rakshita’s mouth and detonated it using a device similar to those employed in mining operations. The blast mutilated her face and splattered blood across the room.

After the murder, Siddaraju attempted to mislead others by claiming she died in a mobile phone explosion. However, locals grew suspicious, caught him, and handed him over to police.

Investigators have seized explosive remnants and other evidence from the lodge. Authorities confirmed Siddaraju’s arrest and assured strict legal action. Police also warned about the dangers of illegal explosive materials being used beyond mining activities.

The brutality of the crime has sparked outrage across the community. Locals have demanded severe punishment for Siddaraju, calling it a disturbing example of rising crimes linked to personal disputes and extramarital affairs.
