Apple Vision Pro HeadsetOn Monday, Apple unveiled Vision Pro, a mixed-reality headset, amid tremendous anticipation. Apple describes the device as a “spatial computer” that “blends digital content with the physical world.”

The Vision Pro headgear, which resembles a pair of ski goggles, enables users to use Apple iOS through their eyes, hands, and voice, making applications and other functions of iPhones and PCs appear to hover about them. Vision Pro has 23 million pixels spread over two monitors. It is now priced at $3,499 (about Rs 2.8 lakh) and will be available in markets early next year.

However, the very futuristic features of Vision Pro, as well as its expensive price, have inspired netizens to remark on it via memes.

Some of the memes criticized Vision Pro’s too-complex features. Many of them were concerned with the device’s design and how the headset resembled an enhanced version of arcade VR games or swimming goggles. People also made self-deprecating remarks about not being able to buy the merchandise due to a lack of funds.

Apple CEO Tim Cook described Vision Pro in a news release as “the beginning of a new era for computing.” “Just as the Mac introduced us to personal computing and the iPhone to mobile computing, Apple Vision Pro introduces us to spatial computing,” Cook added. With a revolutionary new input mechanism and dozens of pioneering advances, Vision Pro is years ahead and unlike anything developed before, built on decades of Apple invention. It enables great experiences for our consumers while also opening up intriguing new prospects for our developers.”
