A shocking case has emerged from Noida, where an astrologer named Ashwini Kumar was arrested for sending a bomb threat to Mumbai Police via WhatsApp.
The message claimed that 34 human bombs were ready, 400 kilos of RDX had been placed in 34 vehicles, and 14 terrorists had entered India. It also mentioned the terrorist group “Lashkar-e-Jihadi.”
The threat came just a day before Anant Chaturdashi, a major festival when Ganesh Visarjan is held with huge gatherings in Mumbai. Lakhs of devotees attend the event, and the message triggered fear across the city.
Mumbai Police immediately ramped up security. Tight measures were taken at beaches, railway stations, and other crowded spots. Authorities confirmed that no threat, fake or real, is being ignored.
Later, investigations revealed Ashwini sent the message to frame his friend Faizal. However, police stated that even fake threats put public safety at risk and will be treated with full seriousness.
Officials have urged citizens to remain alert and report anything suspicious. This case is a reminder of how one false message can cause widespread panic.
As Anant Chaturdashi nears, people hope the festival is celebrated with peace and joy, free of any such disturbing events.
