A 29-year-old man from Aligarh, working as a medical representative in Noida, died after falling from the eighth floor of a building in Sector 74 early on Sunday. He had reportedly gone there to attend an LGBTQ party with friends he met through a social app.
The party took place in a rented flat, though the woman whose name was on the lease was not present at the time. Around 6:30 a.m., the man fell from the balcony under unclear circumstances.
Security guards and residents rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Police have begun an investigation to determine the cause of the fall. CCTV footage from the building is being examined to trace who entered and exited the flat that night. Two men who attended the party are currently being questioned.
Officials said it is too early to confirm whether the death was accidental or involved foul play. The post-mortem report will help reveal the exact cause.
The tragic incident has left residents of the area shocked, as the man was reportedly seen happily interacting with others at the party just hours before his death.
