In big cities, trust feels fragile, especially inside jewellery shops where money and temptation often meet. Even with better security and smarter systems, some still find new ways to cheat and escape unnoticed — at least for a while.
A shocking incident from Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar shows how cunning such acts can be. Two women visiting a jewellery store swapped a real gold ring with a fake one while the shopkeeper briefly turned away. Their timing was sharp and deliberate.
The theft went unnoticed at first but was later exposed through CCTV footage. The video, now viral on social media, shows the women replacing the genuine ring with imitation gold in just seconds before calmly leaving the store.
People online reacted with anger and disbelief. Many said the act reflected moral decline more than financial need. Some demanded strict action, while others called for tighter monitoring inside jewellery stores to stop such crimes.
The video also reminded everyone that technology, while easy to misuse, still exposes truth. In today’s world, you may manage to deceive people — but not the camera.
कमाल की तकनीक रहती है चोरों और ठगों की भी…
सोने की असली अंगूठी की जगह, नकली रख दी, लेकिन CCTV ने सब रिकॉर्ड कर लिया।
