A recent video going viral from Jharkhand has left the internet in splits due to its unique ‘Jugad’ approach.
The video features a man with a scooty, who begins by revealing his city’s mandatory rule of wearing a helmet to get petrol at a fuel pump.

Using the ‘India is not for beginners’ slogan, the man reveals how a local petrol pump has found a strange workaround to avoid losing any customers.
He begins by saying, “Humare sheher mein helmet compulsory kar diya gaya hai, bina helmet na aap kahi ghum sakte, na aapko petrol diya jayega.” (In our city, wearing a helmet has become compulsory, and without one, you cannot roam or get fuel.)

The video shows him going in to refuel his scooty without a helmet, only to be offered one attached to a string by the petrol pump itself!
This uniquely ‘jugaadu’ approach has revealed how some of our minds start working in turbo mode to find makeshift workarounds for serious problems, despite tackling them the right way.

Social media has been divided on the matter, with some being sarcastic while others emphasize the gravity of the situation.
One user said, “This shows how we prioritize temporary fixes instead of long-term solutions like promoting helmet awareness.”
Another took a sarcastic jibe, commenting, “The pump should start charging ‘helmet usage fees’—they’re losing a business opportunity!”
While the approach is commendable, one should remember that wearing a helmet does more than just save you from the police; it saves you from death as well!
