Several cities in Israel woke up with terror as a number of rockets hit parts of the country causing huge chaos and fear among the residents. It is believed that these rockets were fired from Gaza and struck the southern and central part of the country. Some of these rockets hit residential areas as well causing huge fires. This is seen as a terrorist attack on the land of Israel and is likely to be dealt with in the same way.
The incident took place early in the morning on Saturday. The cities of Ashkelon, Yavneh, and Kfar Aviv were the main target of these rocket attacks. The rocket strike in Ashkelon started a huge fire causing great damage. Many have been wounded in this attack. At least one casualty has been reported so far.
The responsibility of the attack has been taken by the Hamas military group. Their commander Mohammed Deif has made an announcement on the Hamas media calling out Palestinians to fight.
There have been reports of Palestinian fighters infiltrating the border town of Sderot. They are clashing with the Israeli defense forces armed with assault rifles. The attack came as a surprise and it has caused a ruckus at the top administrative level. Prime Minister took part in discussions with security chief to map out plan of action.
