KL Rahul has dropped a big hint about his Delhi Capitals future ahead of the IPL 2027 mini auction.
Rahul joined Delhi Capitals for Rs 14 crore ahead of IPL 2025 and has scored heavily in his two seasons with the franchise. He scored 539 runs in 2025 and 593 runs in 2026.
Trade rumours have been doing the rounds since the end of IPL 2026. Rahul has now responded to post.
Parth Jindal praised Rahul on X and called him a clutch player. He also said that DC had unfinished business with the batter. KL Rahul replied, Thank you, can’t wait for the coming season.
The reply suggests Rahul is set to continue with Delhi Capitals for IPL 2027. Despite, the franchise has not officially announced its retention list yet.
Rahul has previously captained Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants before joining Delhi Capitals.
Hardik Pandya’s future at Mumbai Indians has also been surrounded by trade rumours.
According to reports, trade talks involving Hardik have not moved forward as MI have not found a suitable deal.
Hardik could therefore stay with Mumbai Indians for IPL 2027, even if he loses the captaincy.
For now, Rahul appears likely to stay at DC, while Hardik’s future remains unclear.
