Rahul Chahar, the Chennai Super Kings spinner, has confirmed that he is now officially divorced from his wife Ishani Johar. The announcement came just ahead of IPL 2026.
The Indian leg spinner shared the update through a long Instagram post on February 20. He said this chapter of his life has ended after the completion of legal proceedings.
Rahul and Ishani got married on March 9, 2022, in Goa. However, the relationship did not last long. The last 15 months were spent in court as both sides went through the legal process.
Rahul stated that the matter has now been fully settled. He said he is ready to move forward in life with clarity and peace.
In his post, Rahul Chahar revealed that he got married at a young age. He admitted that he did not fully understand himself or what he truly wanted from life at that time.
He described the phase as difficult but meaningful. Rahul said it taught him important lessons about patience, truth, and self respect.
He added that some relationships are meant to teach and transform. Even if they do not last forever, they help shape a better version of oneself.
The 26 year old made it clear that he is closing this chapter without anger. His focus now is on building a better and calmer future.
With personal matters settled, Rahul’s attention shifts to IPL 2026. He was bought by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 5.20 crore in the mini auction after initially going unsold.
The leg spinner will be eager to make an impact for CSK this season. He has played 79 IPL matches so far and has taken 75 wickets.
Rahul has also represented India at the international level. He has played 1 ODI and 6 T20Is. IPL 2026 presents a fresh chance for him to restart both his cricket career and his life.
