After the disaster of Indian 2, Shankar’s pan-Indian movie Game Changer with Ram Charan as the lead is going to be released as a Pongal special on 10th January 2025.
Initially, the movie was planned to release in the December month of 2024, but due to some circumstances, the Game Changer team has pushed the release date of this movie to January 10th.
In Kollywood, Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly, directed by Adhik Ravichandran, was also planned to be released as a Pongal special. This movie holds lots of expectations among the audiences as Ajith Kumar was spotted in a never-seen avatar in the first look posters of this movie.
In this scenario, now it’s been confirmed that Bala’s Vanangaan with Arun Vijay as a lead is also joining the Pongal race of 2025. Looks like it’s going to be a tough one for the Game Changer movie to acquire a good number of screens in Tamil Nadu during the time of its release.
Before Indian-2, Shankar was a brand in Kollywood, but that too got destroyed after Indian-2, as the movie ended up as a troll fest among the audiences.
Also, Game Changer’s teaser, which was released a few days ago, has acquired mixed responses from the audiences, and many audiences mentioned that the teaser looks outdated.
As of now, two movies have been confirmed in Kollywood for Pongal. To overtake these movies, Game Changer should acquire strong positive word of mouth from the audiences, or else the movie will end up as a disappointment in Tamilnadu.
