In Kollywood, Ajith Kumar’s Vidaamuyarchi, directed by Magizh Thirumeni, and Arun Vijay’s Vanangaan, directed by Bala, were initially planned for a Pongal release.
But now, according to buzz, Bala’s Vanangaan may get postponed. If it opts out of the Pongal race, it’s a small relief for Ram Charan’s Game Changer.
Game Changer was made with a huge budget, and the success of the movie in all territories is crucial for Ram Charan to become a pan-Indian star like Prabhas and Allu Arjun.
In Tamil Nadu, Game Changer may find it difficult to acquire theatres, as Ajith Kumar’s Vidaamuyarchi is releasing on the same day, and Ajith Kumar is a big star in Kollywood. Also, if Vanangaan were released as planned, it would be even more difficult for Game Changer.
Now, it looks like Game Changer has a good chance to become a blockbuster in Tamil Nadu, as Vidaamuyarchi is going to be the only competitor in the Pongal clash. If Vidaamuyarchi receives mixed responses, Game Changer has a huge opportunity to win big.
