A single from Penguin, the next big South Indian OTT release is out. It stars Keerthy Suresh in the lead. The song comes with the lyrics ‘Praname’ and has music by Santhosh Narayanan.
To those who follow the music of Santhosh Narayanan, ‘Praname’ is a typical moody and atmospheric number from him. It is a slow burner that would take a few listens to get a liking. Not all have the patience, which is where the overall response differs.
From the initial few listens, “Praname’ looks like an okayish number that has the potential to grow. The part in the middle and the overall soothing and haunting quality is what register immediately, though.
Keerthy Suresh, for the first time in her career, is playing a mother role to a young kid. The story is about what length she goes to bring him back when he disappears. From the trailer, it is clear she has to face a psycho on the prowl.
