The 44-year-old convict faced multiple allegations, including four charges of aggravated sexual assault, house trespass to commit sexual assault, outrage of modesty, and impersonation of a public servant.

Among the charges, in 2017, he attacked and sexually assaulted a domestic helper who was running errands. He also impersonated a police officer before molesting a woman.

Although Tamilarasan made claims regarding his innocence, they were dismissed promptly. Tamilarasan was convicted of all the charges, and Deputy Public Prosecutors sentenced him to the maximum 20 years.

It was noted that he couldn’t assume accountability for the sexual offenses. The judge also highlighted a significant risk of him committing sexual violence again, stating that Tamilarasan posed a danger to society and appeared to be in a challenging situation for rehabilitation.
