Of late, we are hearing increased instances of Indian-origin individuals getting jailed in the USA for committing fraud. Now, there is a new addition to the list as a man named Yogesh K Pancholi got 9 year jail sentence for committing a healthcare scam amounting to $2.9 million.

This Indian-origin man lives in Michigan and runs a company called Shring Home Care. He ran an elaborate healthcare scam and looted $2.9 million in just two months. He used to forge fake signatures to claim the Medicare funds. He essentially looted medicare money through fake applications in the name of fake patients without actually having provided any services.

He has been proven guilty of looting Medicare money and illegally transferring it to India. The US Department of Justice found him guilty in the case and sentenced him to 9 years in prison.

Pancholi has been convicted of health care and wire fraud, two counts of health care fraud, two counts of aggravated identity theft, two counts of money laundering, and one count of witness tampering.
