No matter how much the ground reality changes, there’s always a difference between how things actually are and how it is perceived by the West and especially the US which arrogantly carries the tag of being the best nation in the world. The USA looks down upon every other nation which doesn’t agree with its policy on every front and it is evident in this list of most powerful nation states released by US News and World Report.
The list ranks the countries according to overall power in all fields. Surprisingly, India does not feature in the top 10 of the list. India has been ranked 12th in the list behind countries like UAE and Saudi Arabia.
India is the 5th largest economy of the world and one of the fastest growing among the top 10. When it comes to military strength, India ranks 4th in the world. Even after all these achievements, the list didn’t consider India for the top 10 positions.
However, inclusions like Israel, South Korea in the top 10 suggests the list is only inclusive of the nations that stand behind the United States for everything. India having opposed the US in a number of matters irked the arrogance of the big nation and resulted in such a non-practical ranking of nations.
