There has been a spurt in the number of hate crimes against the Hindu community in the United States. Although the state is in complete denial of this fact and ignores the communal angle associated with it. A Hindu temple in Newark, California has been desecrated by some anti-social elements. The exterior walls of the temple were vandalized and anti-India slogans were written on it.
The incident happened in the Swaminarayan Temple in Newark. It is believed that pro-khalistanis are behind this attack as ‘Khalistan’ was sprayed on the walls. The miscreants made wall graffiti with anti-Hindu slogans.
The temple authorities suggest that the incident took place on Thursday night and the police came to know about it on Friday. One of the police officers said that it was ‘a targeted attack’ and further investigation needs to take place.
There has been a rise in anti-India activities by the pro-khalistanis after the accusations made by Canada against India for which it has not provided any evidence.
This is not a single incident but such activities are taking place all around the world including Canada and the UK.
