Several H-1B applicants are now facing a new technical issue when trying to schedule visa appointments. When they open the appointment calendar, a message appears on the screen reading Liquid error Exception has been thrown the the target of invocation, blocking access to dates.
Error appears on OFC scheduling page
The failure is happening on the Offsite Facilitation Center scheduling section, which is used to select biometric and interview dates. Because the calendar does not load, applicants cannot check availability or move to the booking page.
Appointment booking at a standstill
Many reports show the same problem across different users. This points to a system wide issue rather than an isolated case. Until the calendar loads correctly, applicants cannot schedule or reschedule mandatory appointments.
Old problem, new disruption
The visa scheduling site has been known for slow loading and glitches in the past. The latest error has made securing slots even harder. One applicant said they cannot view any H-1B interview slots for April or May 2026.
Applicants forced to monitor alerts
Since the calendar is inaccessible for many, applicants rely on community alerts and real time notifications to catch sudden openings. Without access to the calendar, thousands remain stuck outside the booking system.
System needs stronger support
The scheduling portal is a critical part of the visa process. A single technical failure can delay large numbers of applicants. Unless the administrator fixes the error, H-1B applicants will continue to face avoidable delays and uncertainty.
