When the government is failing at its own end of delivering on promises, it tries to shift all the responsibilities on the citizens. The citizens of the USA are going to be the latest victim of it. The immigration crisis is crippling the infrastructure of the country but the priorities of the government are elsewhere. The Governor of Massachusetts has suggested that people should house the illegal immigrants in their own home to help.
Maura Healey has said that there’s a need for additional houses to shelter the immigrants. The report was shared on X by Elon Musk who criticized the scary idea of allowing complete strangers from a foreign country into your home.
The state budget allocated for Massachusetts for the problem is only $1.5 million. The streets of major cities in the US are witnessing a record number of people squatting. The government has failed on all fronts to resolve the issue and is now trying to make it worse for the citizens by pushing the responsibility on them.
It is only a matter of priority and not of unavailability of resources. The government is throwing out more than $100 billion in aid to fuel war in the middle east and Ukraine but can’t spend money on the problems that exist within the country.
