Days after an oil tanker carrying 25 Indian crew members suffered a drone attack by the terrorists in the Red Sea, the Indian Navy has sprung in action to safeguard the high waters. Another vessel heading to New Mangalore port suffered the same fate close to the coast of Gujarat that led to countermeasures by the Indian Navy.
MV Chem Pluto is a Liberia flagged vessel which was carrying 21 Indian crew members and one Vietnamese. The US days that the ship was the target of a one-way attack drone launched by Iran. In response to these attacks, the Indian Navy is deploying its Warships in the Arabian Sea for better surveillance.
INS Mormugao, INS Kochi, INS Kolkata are being deployed to ensure safety of the commercial ships in the region. The Indian Navy has deployed guided missile destroyers in strategic locations. P81 aircrafts are also being used to offer a wider surveillance.
The Houthi, who are behind these attacks have increased the frequency of these attacks. The chaos and tragedy in Gaza is now being replicated in the Red Sea as a counterattack.
