Indian American Makes Historic Win At Big Brother!

Jag Bains Win Big Brother

An Indian origin contestant at one of the biggest reality TV shows made history by becoming the first Sikh person to win the show. Jag bains also became the first Indian American to win the show Big Brother. He won the 25th season of the show defeating Matt Klotz and Bowie Jane Ball. Jag Bains is a 25 year old Truck Company owner from Washington.

At the finals, Bains had to battle it out with Bowie Jane Ball, a DJ and Barrister from Australia. Bains delivered a final speech that won over the jury which decided in favor of him with a 5-2 vote. He also won a prize of $750,000. Bains was the first Sikh contestant at the show.

Bains said that he dedicates his victory to his parents who sacrificed everything to give him the life he has led. His parents immigrated from Punjab, India. He said that he never thought that he was going to make it that far in the show, let alone win.

Big Brother has faced several allegations of racism and homophobia over the years. It has had the reputation of having mostly white contestants in the show and some of them have even been explicitly racist in some of their comments.
