In a chilling incident, a US citizen of Indian origin fell victim to a horrifying assault, allegedly raped by her own colleague, the CEO of a prestigious New Delhi firm, within the opulent confines of a five-star hotel in the Lutyens area.
The victim, a woman in her 40s who had been residing in the United States for years, courageously reported the assault to Delhi Police in January 2024, recounting the traumatic incident that occurred on September 14 of the preceding year.
The accused, a man of prominence in the corporate world, held the position of CEO in the same firm where the victim served as the assistant general manager. Their professional ties were woven through personal connections, as the accused, a friend of the victim’s uncle, had facilitated her employment.
