A deadly family dispute in the United States has left four people dead, including an Indian national. The shooting occurred inside a house in Lawrenceville, turning a quiet neighbourhood into a crime scene and raising serious concerns.

The shooting took place around 2:30 AM on Friday, January 23, at a residence in Gwinnett County. The victims were identified as Meemu Dogra, Gourav Kumar, Nidhi Chander, and Harish Chander.

Indian family shooting linked to domestic dispute

Police confirmed all victims were related and the violence stemmed from a domestic dispute. It was not a random attack. Officers from Gwinnett County Police said all four suffered fatal gunshot wounds and were declared dead at the scene.

Husband arrested after shooting

The accused, Vijay Kumar, the 51-year-old husband of Meemu Dogra, was arrested at the residence. Reports state three children were inside the house. One child called 911 in time, preventing further harm.

Consulate confirms Indian national killed

The Consulate General of India in Atlanta confirmed that an Indian national was among the victims. Authorities charged Vijay with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, and offences related to child cruelty.
