Sports and games have evolved as a reputable profession in the 21st century. Parents have started pushing their children into their desired game or sport from a very early age allowing them to have enough time to excel in it. However, extreme training could lead to some tragic accidents which apparently seems to be the case with a 14 year old boy. A 14 year old boy of Indian origin in Singapore died after getting unwell because of a fitness trial.
The boy, who was a badminton player and part of the Singapore Badminton Association’s national intermediate squad was taken to the hospital after a 400m fitness trial. He went through a bypass surgery and other surgeries as well on his leg.
This has caused a shock to both the family and school community of the deceased. The parents were informed about the incident when he was being taken to the hospital. The boy had represented and won at many national level tournaments in different age categories.
An investigation is underway trying to find out the exact circumstances leading to the death of the teenager. Singapore Badminton Association has said that they have extended their support towards his family during this tough time.
