The Indian military forces have conducted numerous rescue missions in the past few decades and the ongoing Houthi conflict in the Middle East is becoming responsible for more such operations. Usually Hollywood has pushed the image of the US saving the world from the enemies, however real life shows that the opposite is also equally true. The Indian Navy rescued crew members of a US based ship in the Middle East.

The US based ship Genco Picardy became a victim of an attack by drones used by Houthi fighters in the gulf of Aden. Following the attack, there was a counter strike by the US forces which neutralized 14 missiles. The crew members of the ship were rescued by the Indian Navy on Thursday.

A warship was deployed by India for the same mission and it diverted and redirected to the new target. All 22 crew members of the ship were rescued in the process. The sources claim that all the crew members are unharmed.

This is not the first rescue mission by the Indian Navy in the Red Sea. Earlier, a vessel hijacked by Houthi terrorists was neutralized and the crew members were rescued in a special operation by the Indian Navy. The presence of Indian Navy in the Red Sea has proved to be beneficial in the fight against the Houthis.
