Indian Store Robbed In Virginia

Indian Store Robbed VirginiaIn Virginia, a store owned by Indian-origin man Shyamal Patel, named Smokies Lounge smoke shop, was robbed by an armed suspect. The robbery occurred at 5 AM on October 8 when the suspect threatened the clerk with a gun and demanded cash.

The suspect, who wore a mask, a grey hoodie, dark pants, and black shoes, escaped with an undisclosed amount of money. Despite Patel’s belief that the robber might be a former employee, the police have not released the suspect’s identity.

This isn’t the first time Patel’s store has been targeted; there was a similar armed robbery in April, with the culprits subsequently arrested thanks to the assistance of local police and security camera footage.

Patel noticed similarities between the recent robber and the former employee, such as a limp, voice, and escape pattern.

In response to these incidents, Patel has increased security measures, installing 12 additional security cameras and implementing a new security system. After 8 PM, visitors must ring a doorbell for entry, and the clerk can remotely open the door.

The Chesterfield County Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
