Indians are Slaves to US

A techie recently called out how Indians are forced into late-night and early-morning meetings, while Americans work in their comfort sticking to regular hours.

Taking to Reddit, he slammed this as a “slavery mindset.” He pointed out that Indian employees even adjust for US daylight savings, normalizing an unfair culture.

“We Indians still have that slavery mindset,” he wrote. “Your manager forces you into odd-hour calls, but US counterparts never step beyond their 9 am to 7 pm window.”

He added that daylight savings push meetings even later leading to Indian employees working past midnight. But Indians would gladly sacrifice their time while managers in America enjoy the promotions.

The post sparked debate on the social media platform with one user saying, “Desi managers act more goras than the goras.” Another joked about how Indian offices treat foreign visitors like celebrities, “They’re just colleagues with white skin,” he remarked.

However, some pointed out it is not entirely true with one of them sharing that his US colleagues would sometimes wake up at 6 am to adjust for the Indian team. Others defended the systems saying the clients set the rules.
