As tensions arise between Israel and Iran, the countries have started taking measures to safeguard their civilians. India too has issued a warning against traveling to Israel as an attack by Iran is “imminent.” The other countries to release a similar advisory include France, Russia, and the United Kingdom. Moreover, the German airline Lufthansa is avoiding Israeli aerospace.
The matter escalated after Israel assassinated a top commander of the Iranian force in an attack on an Iranian embassy in Damascus on April 12. In retaliation, Iran has its turrets and silos aimed at Israel. The next 48 hours stand crucial as the threat looms over Israel. In return, Israel’s defense minister said, “A direct Iranian attack will prompt an appropriate Israeli response against Iran.”
In response to the conflict, the Indian ministry of external affairs issued a statement on Friday regarding the Indian citizens in both countries, urging them to reach out to the embassies and be cautious. The ministry advised minimizing travel to both countries. The Israeli army is on high alert as they have disabled GPS and the anti-blast shelters are being activated. Prime Minister Netanyahu has stated that Israel is ready for any sort of defensive and offensive maneuver and will respond to any potential aggression accordingly. When two nations engage in conflict, it becomes a dreaded sight as the immigrants get caught in a crossfire. The people who have no say or relationship whatsoever will suffer all the same. The threat looms over everyone equally.
